Greene County has a powerful geographic information system (GIS) and specialists on staff to provide a broad array of valuable mapping services. We provide mapping support for all 19 municipalities in the county, working with planning, zoning and economic development boards, agricultural districts, fire districts and more. We serve as a central repository for all Greene County maps and data, provide inter-departmental mapping support, work on all county-wide plans and oversee the interactive Greene Web Map.
In addition, we also work closely with the private and non-profit sectors, producing high-quality GIS maps for everyone from engineers, surveyors, developers, builders and consultants to environmental, watershed and scenic byway organizations.
The Greene County GIS software is a highly analytical tool that allows us to query specific information and zero in quickly and accurately on the information you need. We know how to present it in a graphic representation that is packed with data, but still easy to read.
Maps can be provided in a variety of different formats – electronically as PDFs or JPEGs or hard-copy printed maps up to 31" x 51" in size. We can also supply CDs with text and maps, or just data sets that you can use to produce your own maps. A nominal fee is charged for printing maps.
If you have a need for GIS mapping services, we encourage you to contact us. We are often faster, more accurate and less expensive than hiring a consultant.
